A bit late with this one, and I’m not even sorry because the past week has been a blur of food, family and more gifts/celebrations. Don’t you just love Christmas?
Christmas was possibly my favourite yet. It was filled with family, friends, and all the food in the world. Turkey and stuffing and chocolate and cheese and glasses on glasses of prosecco. We played games and laughed until we ached and just enjoyed the time together – and mum didn’t even get stressed over the turkey this year. It was quite special.
But let’s delve into what you came here for… PRESENTS.
– insert mandatory disclaimer that I’m not bragging, I just like being nosy and reading these posts so assume others will too –
Back to the good stuff. Every Christmas I say this, but I just can’t believe how generous people are and how lovely everything I received is. I got so many nice, thoughtful gifts so thank you to everyone for that. Much appreciated.
From my parents I got a gorgeous Elie Beaumont watch, in black and rose gold. It’s the kind of watch that adds a bit of something to every outfit, and I’ve been wearing it non-stop since I opened it. I also received my favourite perfume – Armani Si in a gift set along with some body lotion. It’s my daily fragrance and I love that I don’t have to drop a casual £60 on it for a while. Insert smug face emoji.
One of my favourite gifts I received was the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil which I spotted on Martha’s blog a few months back. It’s heavy on the lips but does a fantastic job of moisturising and getting rid of any flaky scabby bits. I suffer with chapped lips quite a lot in winter so this is a right godsend. Another lip gift was the Tropic Luscious lips set – containing a lip scrub and balm, plus a cleansing body pebble which comes highly recommended from my mum.
Speaking of my mum, she managed to find a plant even I can’t kill (touch wood)… a sand plant. It comes in a glass container so you can see the layers of coloured sand, and apparently only needs a spritz with water once a week. You have no idea how much this was made for me, THANKS MUM.
My sister must’ve been feeling spenny this year because I received TWO gifts. The Origins Face Mask Gift Set and a Champney’s Candle Duo. The Origins set contains minature versions of the Maskimiser Mask Primer, Retexturising Mask With Rose Clay, Active Charcoal Mask, and Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. I’ve never tried anything by Origins before and heard SO many good things, I can’t wait to get stuck in and give these a proper try.
The rest of my beauty gifts include the Benefit Blushin Babe set, the NYX Highlight and Contour Pro palette, the Sensationail Gel Nail Polish in ‘Macciato’, and a new MAC lipstick in ‘retro’, a gorgeous brown toned nude.
From Danny, I got a lovely Rose Gold necklace from Earnest Jones (not going to link as don’t want to search price), plus a new list pad from Paperchase because GURL do I love making lists.
So that’s that. There’s a few items not photographed because LOL looks like the Christmas cheese and wine got to my head and I forgot.
How was your Christmas? What did you get? Let’s chat in the comments!
